Nice everyday white

2007 Bernhard Ott Grner Veltliner Am Berg - Austria, Niedersterreich, Donauland (12/10/2008)
This is a lovely wine, bright, crisp, fresh, with real interest, terrific for an everyday wine (c. $14). It's light on its feet (11.5%) and dry but not at all austere. I've been struggling in this category lately, so I was due.

Sadly, some fashionista looking for an overpriced pink bowling pin didn't like my suggestion that she'd do better with this one.

I was considering the 2007 Der Ott for Monday's Jeebus when I went with the 1994 Hiedler Reserve instead. Until that time the best gruner I had had was the 2006 Ott Fass 4. It is good stuff.
