Does anybody else have a poor reaction to wines from Muscadet lately?
I've had issues with the last few that I've tried - entry-level bottles from Chevalier, Landron and Luneau-Papin. They seemed flawed...not really detected on the nose but mostly on the palate. I don't remember exact vintages but nothing past 2011. I do remember the Landron being a screw-top from 2011. With the Chevalier, I opened a second and third bottle and still had the same reaction.
Is there a distinctive quality in these wines that is similar to the sensation of a corked bottle? Or am I just having bad luck?
