I have been visiting customers for the past view weeks, and these were the evening tipples (except for the Irancy, which was opened on a weekend):
Dom. Hudelot-Noellat 2011 Bourgogne Rouge - Day 1: too intense, unpleasantly forceful and plasticky nose, rough red fruits; Day 2: all different! lightweight texture, acidity may not be any sharper but it's well-balanced and more noticeable, flavor profile drifting back towards raspberry-ness; Day 3: like Day 2 but showing additional citrussy complexity
Dom. Lucien Joudelat 2003 Irancy "Les Mazelots" - a gift, hand-carried to us from the domaine; I carafed it for 2 hrs about 3.5 hrs before dinner; at first, very tight and tannic; by meal time it was showing only a tiny bit more fruit but there was a (somewhat orphaned) violet or floral note; "rustic" is a good word for this wine; not much by itself but it stood up to grilled meats well enough.
Dom Dubost 2013 Brouilly, VV - Zev import; kinda generic on Day 1, improves on subsequent days, nice enough
Brick House 2012 Gamay - texture kinda thick but good fresh gamay flavors, after a while I get the smell of fresh-baked bread (...a bit o' lees-stirring, perhaps), pretty decent; remained similar on subsequent evenings
