Stunning. Somewhat surprisingly open and so worth a peak [sic: peek - thanks Oswaldo!] now. After a short decant, the nose is classic, elegant violets, darkish-berry fruit, and spice with just a hint of VA. Dances from the glass. Simultaneously light, airy, and penetratingly cool mouthfeel. A fuller body than is immediately apparent. Flavors echo the nose, now a hint of black fruit thrown in. Dances across the palate. So light but tasty and long. The lack of apparent wood but definition from old demi-muid frees up the entire experience. No weight, no heat - just cool concentration. The wine grows in the decanter to add intensity without gaining weight.

Wow.
