Musar red 2007

I love Musar. Even the weaker years have always become liquids to my taste with enough age on them (the 1990 and 1996 reds are actually very decent wines now).

But the 2007 seems weird. A stereotype of OTT Aussie Shiraz over-ripeness on the nose; light but structured on the palate; not much VA or stink. It seemed more like an average S. Rhône than Musar. So not a must buy for the one or two other Musarholics here. But I will not be surprised if in a decade or two this is actually very nice. The true believer is always happy with Musar.

Thanks, Otto. Drinking a 375 of the '01 right now at the bar of Zatinya. Nice aroma and flavor but it is tightening up and still shows some grippy tannin. Hold.
