From a rep at a big distributor about a Muscadet "This is a Muscat, like they grow in Oregon, but from the Loire valley" and I thought, man, I miss Dressner. Also why Oregon? Is Oregon Muscat a thing?

They grow Melon de Bourgogne in Oregon. Whether it's a thing or not I can't say.

I pay a fair amount of attention to Oregon wine and would have said no but searching Muscat and Oregon on Cellartracker produced an interest result. Some solid producers seem to be making wine from Muscat - Belle Pente, Patty Green, Brooks, etc. Eyrie seems to have made Muskat Ottonel as far back as 1990 at least.
