TN: A Little Inman

Recently, I did a taste-off:
Inman Family 2005 Pinot Noir "Olivet Grange Vineyard"
versus
Inman Family 2006 Pinot Noir "Olivet Grange Vineyard"

The '05 was quite bony on Day 1, lean, not very aromatic, black tea and clove, also showing some appropriate secondary woodsy flavors. By Day 3, however, it had opened up a bit, found some fruit, very clean and transparent but, frankly, tasting more of "nice grapes" than "interesting vineyard".

The '06 was fleshier on Day 1 and, therefore, a little easier to like with some raspberry and anise as well as tea and clove. By Day 3 it had gotten quite plump and showed a broader palette of flavors as well as a richer and more glyceral texture.
