"Vielles" Nouveau Ros..

When one has stupid excesses of wine, some bottles get "missed"...

2006 Jean-Paul Brun Ros d'Folie (Beaujolais Ros), alc 12%, $11...pale salmon color..crushed raspberry and strawberry follows through from the nose to the palate... fresh, crisp and inviting..blows away many Ross in general and certainly most Beajolais Nouveau bottlings...2 more years in the bottle certainly didn't diminish the experience...

Now all we need is for Brad Kane to complain about notes about old ros nouveau, and we'll have completed the circle of absurdity.

You know, I think I have one of these somewhere. I should probably check on it.

This isn't a nouveau and is released at the same time as Brun's regular Beaujolais. Brun takes a little bit of every cuve in his cellar to make this wine, its a cumulative mish-mash. I'd personally rather drink the L'Ancien but it is a pleasant oddity.
