Anyone here get that 1996 CRB Cot at CSW?

I'm pretty sure that M. Tete de Chien sold me a bottle of the 1995 Cot at Garnet, as I have 4 bottles of the 1996 that I recall buying after that 1995 changed my life. The L'Aigueliere and the Peyre Roses are the wines I most regret missing from the e-mail.

Since I have all the experts here: I got a whole bunch of the 2009 Cot and tried it twice. Good, but seemed rather tight still. How long did the 1995 and 1996 wait before they shone?

Thanks, Gg

I do wonder if some people get the emails before others. A number of times I've received the email, looked on the website and the wine was gone.

This time I checked about 25 min after it was sent. There was a case of 2010 Clape Cornas in the offering. All bottles were sold.

The 1995 was electric on release, with a purity of fruit and florality unlike anything I'd had at that point. I vaguely remember that the 1996 was very good but not quite as radiant or precise. It has been so long since I've had a 5-7 year old Cot, though, that I can't be of much help.

Ha! I didn't see the email until a bit after it was sent. I managed to snag the 1994 Pradeaux and consider myself fortunate. I would have loved that cot, though.

I missed the Cot, too.

I don't know how Chambers does it but (professional hat on) if the mailing list is big enough then they have retained a vendor to execute the transmission. You'll get branded a spammer if you don't do it right. Anyway, the pros parcel them out at a certain rate, but they appreciate what that means and so process ((that's pro-SESS)) through the list, starting at a different place each time. (doff)
