Really everything I hoped this wine would one day be. Has finally settled into its mature shape where I think it will sit for a while. It has a richness paired with serious cut and lift. There is structure, but it has mellowed and the wine has learned how to caress instead of prod. All the smells and flavors one expects from aged Croix Boissée are there and the sense of THAT hill and the bedrock of limestone. This will certainly keep for another 7-10 years and might even improve a bit depending on you predilections. I feel like a genius for cellaring this wine, I feel like an idiot for not cellaring more.
