I've heard very good things from friends visiting last month.
Also, tasted Louis Boillot's Moulin-a-Vent last week in Germany. Yum. Very (drum roll) Burgundian.
And of course Moulin-a-Vent from Chandon de Briailles (Domaine des Moriers) is wonderful every year.

Oooh. I did not know about that. A brief Googling doesn't make it clear whether they have a US importer.

Sure you aren't looking at the Chignard Fleurie Les Moriers? Wine-searcher was the first place I looked.

This is all interesting. We already had a plethora of delicious and affordable Beaujolais to choose from. Now some of the more interesting Burgundy producers are entering the game. I generally don't go for the more self-consciously 'Burgundian' structured Beaujolais (having plenty of self-consciously structured Burgundy), but will be curious to try these.

I somehow fancied Chignard must be CdB's nom de guerre in Beaujolais, but see that .sasha named Domaine des Moriers. I thought it was odd that you wouldn't have checked WS.
Normally, I'd be embarrassed, but I've just opened a good bottle of 2002 Huet Le Mont demi-sec, and the only sensation I can feel now is one of delight.

I'm generally against the encroachment and gentrification of Beaujolais, but am very interested in the Louis Boillot wine.
