$15. This is an inexpensive red from Campania. Purple in color with some ruby hues. Mostly clear and bright, one of the most transparent Aglianicos I have seen. The nose shows plums, and cherries and some earthiness. Medium bodied. On the palate, this took about an hour, not so much to open, as to lose a bitterness. Then it was singing. No real tannins to speak of. Lots of plums and cherries and some anise. Also some root beer notes. Nice acidity. Nice finish. Excellent QPR. I doubt this ages well, artificial cork too, but makes good drinking right now.
