Has anyone else noticed that the talk of late is all about Melon and Riesling -- with the occasional Chenin thrown in -- in the depths of Winter? Will we be chatting about Tannat and Syrah in July?

I have noticed a few restaurants in NY pouring Rose by the glass in January. In particular the Enderle & Moll Spatburgunder is spectacular.
 
Works for me. I don't let piddly weather interfere with a good glass, and in fact, welcome opposites!
 
I saw an actual snowflake in Madrid two weeks ago.
It was snowing in Paris earlier this week.

I'm still traumatized.
