Cole, Huey, Dewey and Louie at the TGJP

Last friday with our Whashingtonian Bon Tyran (Cole K.), Huey, Dewey and Louie, we made a dinner with 6 North rhone 2001 & 2003 (Ogier, Burgaud, Jamet & Faurie). See our new website available on every devices (desktop, tablet or smartphone) :

Two comments:

The recioto is almost 30 years old! The color was going fast but the delightful acidity and balance were still there.

It was news to me that in French Donald's nephews were Riri, Fifi et Loulou. It was news to pab and Marie-Sabine that in the US they were Huey, Dewey and Louie.

What's Donald's name in France? How about Uncle Scrooge?
 
Since I am sure you are dying to know:

In Germany it is Tick, Trick und Track

And Donald is Donald, but Scrooge is Onkel Dagobert.

And in Italian it is Paperon de' Paperoni. And the nephews are Qui, Quo and Qua.

It is difficult to translate but his family's coat of arms in Italian is a "grasping hand in someone else's field"(with a play on words as "campo" (field) refers to the background of a coat of arms). Anyway it is: Mano Rampante in Campo Altrui.

Don't forget the car guys, whose lawyer was Hughie Dewey Louey and who worked for the law firm Dewey Cheatham and Howe (a joke that is much older than them).
