Biferno Casa Contini Riserva DOC '09 -- Dark red, solid bouquet of mixed dark fruits, Montepulciano fruit from mixed clay soils, nice richness, warm red fruit notes, plus the black Aglianico adds spice/earth/complexity, tannins nicely integrated and now smooth, pleasing expressiveness and complexity. Maybe not widely available, but if you can find it, buy in quantity.

Wonderful with gazpacho, then oxtails and white beans/greens/kale!
