Reaching around last night in the messy cellar to find something for something lunchable today, I find "esquisse" (ducroux) 13. Who knew any was left. Would it still be exquisite? Well, today, it shows itself to be delightful. Not the beautiful youth of last year, and a touch of dried rose petal on the nose; very light in the mouth, but superb persistency as it goes down. Lively acidity giving this wonderful memory of fruit. I doubt this will show as well in the summer of '17, but right here, right now, i'm loving it.
