CWD: '03 J. Christopher Charlies Pinot Noir

drssouth

Stephen South
2003 J. Christopher Charlies Vineyard Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley, alc 14.8%...Crisp bright and fresh...turns a bit more serious and sweeter after a few swirls of the glass...Good straightforward Pinot Noir...no oak..no excess alcohol showing..

The current releases are the 2006's, which was a hot year like 2003, but produced better balanced wines. I don't have notes for the 06's I tasted but I liked them all quite a bit. The 'Le Pavillon' and 'Sandra Adele' bottles are both worth picking up.
