Marc Lazar & Domaine Wine

Ian Fitzsimmons

Ian Fitzsimmons
I just saw a long, detailed message on WB about Lazar coming into legal trouble that may eventually affect his storage operations in D.C. and N.Y.

I'm pretty sure some of our folks store in these facilities, and mention the story here as a psa, so these community members can start to size up the risk.

His days of selling/shipping wine are over but, presumably, the various businesses would pass into receivership and back out again into new hands.

The time of passage, however, may require locks on the doors. During which time clients may not be able to access their wine. And they will have no idea who can. Nor will they know if insurance is kept up and power bills paid in timely fashion.
And of course, one never knows who will be running the show once it reopens.
Or not.
Just some thoughts out of an abundance of caution. Receiverships are not always predictable or easy, at least in my experience.
Best, Jim
