Any one taste Clape's Cotes du rhone blanc?

Kermit Lynch lists it in his latest newsletter. The vines are so old they're dying. I can't find notes on it. Might be worth $30 a bottle.

I found it, surprisingly, a little on the clunky side, but it may have suffered from being served next to a much sprightlier wine.

Do you mean in general or just the recent release?

I enjoyed some of the CdR Blanc and even more so the St Peray Blanc from a few vintages in the early 2000s. If I could remember to buy them they would be a nice change of pace from the white wines I usually drink.

Recent release; I was surprised by how heavy it seemed, compared to what I thought i remembered of Clape's whites from previous vintages, which had prompted me to buy the new one.

Aha. Good to note.
