Ridge Geyserville '09

Definitely comment-worthy is the Ridge Geyserville '09 -- all the right components visually, aromatically, tasting-wise, and all in fine form. Solid red, restrained bouquet but nicely rounded out with the right features, mellow, still fully endowed, good richness and length. Alas, my last bottle.

Worked well with sauteed sausage and vegetables mixed with lentils, then chocolate fudgies. (Can't miss with Zins and chocolate!)

Geyserville is a rewarding go-to wine every vintage...which is why I buy it every vintage with its surprisingly small price escalation (thus far, at least).
