i've a small stash of CRB and was inspired to open the above tonight.
kind of grumpy on opening. cedar and clove on the nose. not showing much at all. after an hour or so of air this is all sandalwood(?) and cinnamon on the nose and super dry on the palate. maybe the driest gamay i have ever tasted.
hour two shows some pencil lead and blue fruit but this is still predominately dry and marked by baking spices.
good, interesting even, but Loire gamay has never moved me much.
i have some 2011, 2012, 2013 and wonder if i should drink them over the near term or let them slumber awhile.
