PSA - Omakase Room By Maaser

I read about Omakase Room By Maaser a new "affordable" Omakase spot. What initially got my attention is that they are open for lunch on Saturday. I went expecting to have a nice meal. What I experienced was a mindblowing 17 piece Omakase with exquisite ingredients in a serene environment. BYOB with no corkage. $110 for an Omakase that is a good as the top spots in the city that charge 2-3x without the no corkage benefit.

Tip - the Chefs like wine and said if we come at night they can drink all they want after 10!

Maaser

Since we are on a wineboard the 13 Lauer was fantastic. As an acid freak, 2013 might be my all time favorite vintage.

p.s. I post a lot about food on the other boards, if this is of interest just let me know and I can post here.

I saw that on IG and mentally put it on my list for my next NYC visit. Thanks.

Sounds jeebusworthy

One thing I should add is that I think they assume one hour or so per meal and that is part of how they can do this at such a fair price. So I think it would be hard to linger with lots of bottles.

Just winebeserkers and vinuous (pay site). I don't post much wine related content on winebeserkers because it is so combative but I do like the Epicurean section where there are very active threads on LA, NY, Paris, SF etc.
