I have long found a particular affinity for Fer Servadou. the grape that grows in only a few locations in the SW of France. Tonight we finished off some venison-Black bean Chile with the title wine. This year’s edition is big-boned, full bodied yet not ponderous in the least. Very clean on the palate, with blueberry and red fruit with a black pepper overlay. The only thing missing was Lars Makie to swoon over it with me.
