Was in St Pete Fl and environs for a few days. Ate very well, as usual, but one meal stuck out. Sushi Sho Rexly. Truly world class sushi omakase. But, it was the wines that really made the night.
Pedralonga Albarino Vendetta 2016 - The Vendetta is Pedralonga’s older vines. Genius. Razor sharp. Great acid. Had a lightness to it, but loads of depth and complexity. Kept changing in the glass.
Raul Perez Rara Avis Albarino 2013 - The Rara Avis is Raul Perez’s wine right under the Sketch. Richer, textural. Bombastic. Slightly oxidative.
