I agree with you on the ESJ and Scholium visits. I can't understand why Coturri garners some attention. The two bottles I have had were hot, disjointed, unbalanced and just plain undrinkable. What I am I missing?

Truchard would probably fit the bill at around $25. Had several years ago and remember it being more plush than jammy.

Have liked the Mikulski. ( also my first Aligote) Would agree with Joel's notes. Only other one that I have had was a disappointment. De Moor most recent san soufre offering. ( has a phonetic spelling of Aligote on the label). Found it to be an acid bomb. Almost undrinkable...
