So that's why none of you guys bought any last year!

    Wave of Fevre Raves

My Favorite kind of Fèvre. But only when I'm at the club and it's otherwise difficult to see the bottle in the low light. I also like to see myself as a "connected consumer" so I'm glad to have a beverage tailored to my needs.

    What did you drink tonight?

I have an obvious bias since I found them and wrote the sordid tale that Oswaldo linked to so I apologize for the spam, but I've had more good experiences with the wines than poor. Certainly there's some bottle variation and I've had both horrendously corked bottles and ones with a persistent...

He was the best of the best

This is so devastating. I had infinite admiration for Joe.

Can anyone comment on the differences between these 3 2011 Lauer wines?

Barrel X is called "Alt Scheidt" outside of the US. The Mosel Wine Merchant boys thought maybe the original name wouldn't sound so appetizing to the American market. A few short notes on wines at Peking Duck House

Was that Lauer definitely an '02 or was that again an issue of indecipherable script? An '02 Lauer is really not something you see everyday...

    Trollat

i hope he's affiliated with my favorite clear malt beverage. Blended with '82 Trollat it makes excellent Lambrusco

    Sponti

I'm a big Katharina fan, but this really doesn't tell us very much, especially when she doesn't list the names of her colleagues. Sulfur use varies pretty widely, it seems, from producers as different as Selbach-Oster, Willi Schaefer, The Thanisches, the other assorted Prüms, the Haags, Richter...
