What three wineries in Oregon would you visit?

FWIW, PDX is big beer country these days, and whenever I visit I find myself in a flood of heavy local beers, quickly fatigued, etc. But there are some good things, and particularly, if you find yourself on the OR coast, try the Pelican brewery. Gorgeous spot and the beer was awesome. Its been...

    Summer Reading

Some suggestions that I've enjoyed in summers past: 'A Wild Sheep Chase' by Murakami and the follow up 'Dance, Dance, Dance' some of his others are okay too I also liked the Larsson series, as well as Perez-Reverte (only read the Club Dumas). And Graham Greene, though I have not read that so I...

TN: Some 2010 Clos Roche Blanche

These are the two I skipped, though perhaps that was a mistake with the PdA.

    10 liters of goodness

I really think they should make these things commercially available. Seems like an efficient thing to ship and excellent fare for both summer party season and the holidays. Searching online, however, it would appear that these are only available to restaurant trade and with maybe an odd unit...

    2009 Cru Beaujolais tasting

I can't sign on to this theory either. I found the Brun wines to have quite a lot to offer, but I will give them at least another year I think. Although a recent Fleurie was very good, not too ripe by any standard I can think of using. I think it may be quite excellent in a bit of time. Also...

    Co2 in Crb

+1 Already tried that, in all its varied forms, to no results.

    Co2 in Crb

?. Not sure about this. Anyone around here know where those in the hinterlands can order this wine?

    Co2 in Crb

I would like very much to purchase this, but constant coast-watching has so far yielded no results. Anyone know who will offer it and willing to volunteer such an answer?

    2009 Damien Coquelet Chiroubles

I had a pair of these from Chambers, each was a terrible Brett-explosion, made all the worse by the obviously amazing raspberry-laden fruit hiding beneath. Still, we're talking sharp, offensive brett here. I would love to try this wine in an unaffected form, as I could see the quality within...

Moules Frites and '08 Les Gras Moutons

I have found the 2008 Eden to be a lovely wine every time over the year or so I've had it. In fact I had planned for them to last longer, but I think I'm down to two. 2008 Briords as well. I didn't know that they were in ill regard others, but those two have been just great for me.

    TN: Working Man's Wine

I would love to see the Lafarge Bourgogne for anywhere near 10, but its usually more than twice that.

Has anyone here had the 2008 Lafarge Bourgogne?

I had a few of those and they seemed very affected

    Rivers-Marie question

I've tried two, from last year, and I would call it a jammy, very ripe style. I have had others, elsewhere, disagree with this and say that they are balanced, yadda, yadda, yadda. My take - fruit bombs. The chard in particular is highly praised on some boards, but I have seen recent notes...

Domaine De L'Oubliee (Xavier Courant) Bourgueil? Not good.

Jason, I have another bottle, but will give it a while to settle down. FWIW I really like the Guion wines, terrific value.
