Co2 in Crb

Guilhaume gerard

Guilhaume gerard
Had a couple bottles of clos roche blanche rose 2010 last night and was wondering where did all the co2 go?
Is this a vintage thing? Last year was packed with it, this year nothing... Off bottle, change in style or vintage variation? I want to hear those east coast crb drinkers about it, or the frenchies (do you even have crb in france?)
Lovely stuff anyway, with or without the co2...

The new answer is: yes, but we get it later than you do in SF. And later than our lucky, lucky friends in NY.

Once the only outlet (aside from a trip to the Loire) was to find their Cuvée Gamay in Naturalia health food stores. I do not complain. I do not explain, either—following my model, Queen Victoria—why I was in Naturalia to begin with. But it was good and it was so. (And it cost about 6.57€.)

Now, one can acquire CRB (Clos Roche Blanche) Sauvignon Blanc (of the 2 or 5 persuasion, I forget, damn it), Côt (yippee!), and I think even Pineau d'Aunis (the carbonic friend (or not carbonic, depending))—at Lavinia.

But, and here is the humor: they are back vintages.

So, can't help you, Mr. Gweelome.

But the '09 is fizzy.

'10? I will post back in two years.

Surely there are more offensive stores to frequent?

I too remember being amazed to find CRB in Naturalia, where I freely admit that I was shopping for odds and ends.

I would like very much to purchase this, but constant coast-watching has so far yielded no results. Anyone know who will offer it and willing to volunteer such an answer?

Not sure about this. Anyone around here know where those in the hinterlands can order this wine?
