    Wine Therapy Indeed

It is completely dead. It is this. The hollowed-out site shell remains for lack of removal. It is not worth explaining why. Though perhaps someday I will explain why. In fact, this thread completely misunderstands the nature of the place in which it is posted - which is odd, given the...

Kill the "what did you drink tonight" and "save the 'what did you drink tonight'" threads.

I liked how this place ran when one doghead made all the decisions on these things and the rest of you just liked it. Or not. Or something.

Just bought a Linn LP12 and it's everything they say it is.

That horrid Asylum board was a way-station Andrew found for us while I was building the Wine therapy site to house us after Joe got kicked off of Garr's board. Disorder is, of course, just Wine therapy in a new home. And Wt was just a board that caught the subset of WLDG users who landed there...

    Laurence Faller

Good grief. We drop like flies. Somehow I linger. Laurence was a vivacious personality who represented an outstanding family business about as well as it could be represented. Her intelligence and warmth touched people around the world. But she was a sweet human, and way young - like my...

    Schiava

Mayr seems to have the pony generally of late, across varieties. Recent bottles I have drunk have been superb, seemingly reflecting a good outlook on life. Schiava-labeled wines always send a shiver through me before I taste, but sometimes they are not vulgar swill. This one does not surprise me.

    Lafouge

Why don't you tell us? This producer has been in US circulation at least since the '80s with reasonably priced (last I checked they remained almost affordable for sane people), well-made Auxey-Duresses wines. More like hip replacement than hipster, I would say. What are you doing in France when...

    How To w/ Pierre Overnoy

Thanks. A visit to Overnoy is tonic for the soul. My memories from being there have deep value to me and this brought them back.

    PSA: Piedmont

So could someone elucidate the "we" said scribe sprinkles opaquely through his otherwise admirable travel logs? What is this group of people with so much time at liberty to visit winery cellars in faraway places? Do we have outside lives? I mean, I used to do this sort of thing, but I was crazy...

    Guitars and Wine

No, we have ten fingers. All you need is one claw to hold the bottle and another to hammer the wires. Best, Ate Meidinner

    CWD: who fucking knew?

Is that some sort of HBO thing? Because if it is, I must avert my augen.

TN: Da Other Prof and Old Sancerre (Apr 12, 2012)

Boy, there is a lot of explaining to be done here. And reexplaining, it appears. But never mind. At least I was not missed. The wine I had planned to bring turned out to be an unrepresentative near-dud and would have required more explanation. Meantime, in the obstetrics department, the...

    CWD: who fucking knew?

Do you need, really, to ask that question? And watch your dirty mouth. Did I not teach you to be patient with wine like this? Whatever vulgar little tag you use to mark it? Were you whacking your M that day? Again? Bite that tongue, ratboy. Speaking for yourself, of course. Kane. You will not...
