Hi,

A theater-centric friend of mine is going to Paris soon. He is looking for a quiet place to stay near the Palais Garnier. (He has no need for views, amenities, or transportation; he plans to go back and forth between the Palais and the hotel almost exclusively.)

Anyone know a place that I should recommend to him?

Thanks for any guidance.

Jeff,
The most convenient place for him is probably the Htel Scribe, a Sofitel-managed place a block from the Palais Garnier at the intersection of the Rue Scribe and the Blvd des Capucins. 'Tain't cheap, but that didn't seem to be a criterion. The reviews of this place on Tripadvisor sound like it would fit the bill.
