I have some I'd like to try. Anyone have some they want to try? Could do it at my place, potluck, wines, on the patio. Anyone interested?

It's a cool idea, but I have one suggestion: please state where you live for the rest of us who haven't memorized the location of all and sundry. From Cory and Larry's responses, I've surmised that you live in the Bay Area, but it never hurts to explicitly state that.

I'm considering a 2005 Coudert Tardive tonight, just for shits and grins. Maybe not though.
 
Sandy, which ones? I had a bottle of Lapierre Morgon a couple of months ago and it was right on the mark. It had been sitting at the San Mateo Whole Foods for a while so that could be a factor as to why it was so ready.

One was '05 George Descombes Brouilly Vieilles Vignes (it was really big for a beau) and the other was
2005 Domaine Perrachon Julinas Chteau de la Bottiere Cuve Vieilles Vignes. Both came from garagiste I believe. They both need some more time. Don't know how Lapierre is right now, but I have piles of that stuff as well that I bought on release and it has been hanging out in a cool place :-)...So need a reference on that one along with Brun, Coudert, etc
 
I talked with Sandy and hopefully we can make this work. I suggested some other Gamay growing regions to compare to the cru beaujoulais. When are we thinking? I am mostly free in August and afterwards.
 
I have a domestic example that could be real fun as a comparison.

Hopefully, there won't be a date conflict with those evenings when my daughter will be with me.

I'm really enjoying the '05's that I have popped. Still somewhat tight, but enjoyable nonetheless.
 
Put together an offline last sunday to taste '05 beaujolais. I'm attaching Richard's cellar tracker notes (hope that's ok Richard). They all drank beautifully with still life left in them. To contrast we opened a three '02's so that people would be able to taste an older beaujo. Lovely and drinking spot on (one was corked though :-) )..
