Camino, Monday, Mar. 22

Camino is wonderful on every level, but, as mentioned, a bit far from BART. If there's a way to get everyone there, we should give it a shot.

Commis is closed Mondays.

Pizzaiolo is close to BART and always good. Corkage is $18/750. I was unable to negotiate a reduction the one time I tried, but then, I've never sold anything in my life. Maybe if Steve is coming we can call it a winemaker dinner?

Haven't been to Camino but interested in trying it.

Since I'll be in a car, it works for me. Maybe I can pick up or drop off 1 or 2 attendees if it helps.

If someone is going to give Steve a ride, I could easily find my way to his place and hop along, if that's OK. Under those circumstances, Camino sounds like a reasonable option. Any objections? If not, I'll contact them and check out corkage and possibly make a reservation. Speak now, or forever hold your... whatever.

old Sangiovese, maybe old Zin. New World red? Old Les Cotes Sauvages...

Anybody mind if I order off the wine list at Camino? Lugging a bottle out that would show well isn't a cake wall.

Right now, the list I have is:

me
Steve Edmunds
Slaton
Arjun
Ned Hoey + Katie
Larry Stein

Any additions to this list? Anyone bringing along someone else?

I plan on making a reservation at Camino for 6 pm in a day or two, so please let me know ASAP if I should reserve for more (or less) than 7.

Let me get this straight. This thing is March the 22nd and you are making a list.

Do people have to bring approved wines too?

Uh, how do you decide how many spaces to reserve at a restaurant if not to make a list, Monkey-boi? I suppose that I could finesse the issue by asking for a table for 20, but in my experience that isn't a great way of endearing yourself to the restaurant staff, especially if 6 show up the day of.

I don't check the Jeebus board as often as I should. I live around the corner from Camino and would enjoy coming to the dinner, if there's still room.
