Things you used to like, NYC, Nov 8/9/10

De-cloaking after a long, long lurk here.

My better half and I just moved to NYC, and would love to meet the current local disorderly crew. I think the last jeeb I attended in the city was... 2006? I moved away the following spring.

Would there be interest in a jeeb in early Nov, say 8, 9 or 10?

For a theme, I was thinking perhaps wines you used to like but haven't tasted in a while, or current versions thereof.
 
I'll be attending a seminar and the Grand Tasting at La Fete du Champagne on 11/10 so I'm afraid that's out for me.

11/9 is doable, 11/8 is even better.

Sorry, forgot about La Fete until I just checked my calendar.
 
Don't think it'll work for us, but great use of the jeebus bored!

Although, if for some reason I am inclined to go to the Champagne thing, I'm in!
 
Depends on numbers! If it stays small I am happy to cook. We can fit 8 at our dining table.

Otherwise, or if people would prefer not to come up to Harlem, we can find something downtown.
 
As insane as it is to turn down the chance to eat your cooking Harlem on a weeknight is difficult. I could do it but probably only from 7-9:15 or so.
 
And it looks like travel may throw a wrench into these plans (argh). Will update as soon as I know, but how's mid-Nov or early December looking? Theoretically the weekends in play are 16/17/18 Nov or Nov 30/Dec 1/2.

Nov 17 is the Reboule du Rhone so I'd rather not drink otherwise on that weekend.

End Nov/early Dec is good.
 
It's looking like Nov 30/Dec 1/2. Friday or Saturday seems most logical... If no one has a strong preference, I'll pick a date by fiat in a few days.
 
Either date works for me but if you want to have it at your place an early dinner on Saturday works better for me than Friday night, happy to assist with pot luck.
