NYC 6/10-14 - CANCELLED

Best: Mon 6/10
Also: Tue 6/11, Wed 6/12
Tricky: Thu 6/13
No-go: Fri-Sat-Sun

Do you need a drink after the deposition, by any chance?

And drinks after depositions* are always welcomed, just not too late into the evening.

Mark Lipton

* Officially, I'm supposed to be deposed over 3 days (6/17-19) but in practice the lawyers hope to limit it to two days.

Well, I've been waiting for the others to chime in but it's the early bird that catches the jeebus guest.

Tue and Wed are about the same for me; maybe Wed is a touch easier (because I don't have to get up so early the next day).

Manhattan or Brooklyn? There are good places near me: Popina (which I believe is no corkage on Wednesdays), Camperdown Elm (terrific list, I can ask about bringing). We could do nice food instead of a BYO hangout. Or we can do a BYO hangout (alas, no more Cafe Loup).

I'm available anytime during deposal week.

I’ll be working and staying a stones throw from Grand Central so either borough works for me. Wed BYO has a lot of merit as I’ll be lugging in a case of wine (and it’ll have a couple of days to settle down from the travel). I defer to you in choice of venue.

Mark Lipton

Sounds like Wednesday is the choice, then. I leave it to you residents to decide on venue and time. I'll be there with bells on my toes.

Mark Lipton

Sounds fine to me. Thanks, Jeff! I’m bringing along a couple of Nebbiolo to NYC. Also got some Riesling and a Raffault Picasses if you think they’d go better.

Mark Lipton

I have never eaten at Popina - they're pretty new. I'm a big nebbiolo fan so please don't change course! I have one old nebbiolo on hand but I also have some sagrantino and gattinara (and a whole bunch of other things).

Yes and yes!
To which inquiry they replied:
"Jeff! Thanks for reaching out. Chef's tasting menu is 4 courses served family style. A bunch of food to try! $65 per person.

Let me know if you're down!"

Sounds good to me.

Down and done. Chef's menu for five. Mark brings nebbiolo, I'll bring an older nebbiolo and a couple other things (medium age syrah? riesling? pinot?).
