Seeking Jeebus in NY Nov. 14, 15 or 16

The program committee I always attend is meeting a week earlier than usual for some reason. Gail and I will be in NY Thursday through Saturday, Nov. 14-16 and could do any of those nights for a jeebus. Let's see if we don't have to go over to the main board to get people to notice this.

How dare they? I had you tentatively slotted for the following week. Durn program committee isn't respecting my schedule.

I could probably manage 11/14.

I'll certainly let them know of your objections. As the resident old fart on the committee, my word carries less weight than you could imagine, though.

any preference on location? I can get us a Chinese table easily or if we get a large group I can try noreetuh.

If it's a very small group we can just go to one of the better Maison Kaysers (Columbus Circle or 87th St).

So far, it's just you and me, unless you've heard from people. Will the Chinese table be in a Chinese restaurant, or is this just a new mode of NYC restaurant eating. Noreetuh looks interesting.

You guys have eaten there and know best. We liked Bite of Hong Kong, where we ate a couple of years ago. Noreetuch looks interesting and different. Left Bank would be fine too.

I'm really sorry to do this but it looks like I'm going to have to cancel.

Hopefully you, Jeff and Jayson will be able to get together and I hope that you have a wonderful visit!

I hope to know by Monday whether the 14th will work for me.

BOHK or Left Bank sounds good. Never been to latter - corkage fee? If Kayser, the Columbus Circle location was quite good a couple months ago.

I ate at Braeburn once. There was no need to return.

And I marvel that 117 Perry Street was empty for 8 years! Braeburn closed in 2011.

Left Bank's menu is short and ordinary. If the corkage is $25 for the table, it's fine, if per bottle, well, why not go somewhere else?

Hm, well, if there's just four of us, my dining room table has lower corkage.

I work so we might have to do take-out; there are many good choices near me. (Or, if we have a really easy menu, I'll do it. Excellent butcher and fish-monger nearby.)

No need to go to Left Bank. Delivery or take out Chez Beaucoin would be dandy. And Keyser is easy and mellow and affordable. As is BOHK.

I reached out to Cliff, who said he was interested in coming. I suggested he post here so everyone would know. So he may be coming.

Sorry for the delay. Look forward to getting together
