Eastern Jeebus

Here's what i know i have:

Large Format:
2010,2011 mags of tardive
2009 double mag of tardive (perhaps overkill but i am happy to bring it)

750s:
2006 2015 2016 Tardive
2006, 2008 2014 2015 2016 2017 Fleurie (i may have 2012 and 2013 stashed somewhere too)
2009, 2011 Griffe

quite possible i have more that would fill in the gaps above but my cellar isn't terribly well organized (i must have 2017 2018 Tardive somewhere....)

Wife and I are both fully vaccinated

I posted this on the other thread, but will add it here to keep things organized. I have 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, and 2002 Coudert Tardive and 2002 of the normals that I’d enjoy sharing.

I have my second dose on April 6 and am looking forward to jeebusing.

Not that it’ll change much, but I also have the ‘10 Tardive, the ‘13 Griffe du Marquis and the normale in ‘11 and ‘14. All 750 format but multiple bottles of all but the ‘13 Griffe

So, who's in? Also, assuming this is a weekend, what kind of sched are we going to try for: Fri eve, Sat day, Sat eve, Sun day?

Some of us have travel, of course, so will lose some hours out of Fri/Sun.

Also, need to decide exactly where we will meet for drinks and, if there are any extra-curriculars, when/what/where for those.

Speaking for myself, if somebody has a big house, that's altogether nicer than a restaurant.

As I hail from A Big City, I do not own a car and am perfectly happy *not* renting one if there is a convenient hotel.

(Trying not to make a big deal of it but trains/cars/rooms require a certain amount of wrangling.)

So, for me, I can't do Saturday July 24th but could probably do the evening of the 23rd and maybe Sunday the 25th. I'd need to schedule PTO for either Friday or Monday depending on the choice.

BTW, I'm assuming this will be a fully vaxxed only event.

I think fully vaxxed makes sense.

Friday seems a stretch. Sunday starting lunch time seems like the right move if we can’t do Saturday, which would be easier. We could stay over Sunday night and leave for home early Monday if we do a Sunday lunch thing.

I plan to drive unless my wife needs the car.

Does this weekend have some particular raison d'etre? If not, as long as it occurs before Aug. 25, when we finally go back to France for 2 months, I'm in. We in DC don't do these much at restaurants anymore, but someone could come up with one. Cole? Bob? Are you out there?

Originally it was to taste through a bunch of Beaujolais. See the tracking sheet.

But then Maureen observed that Beaujolais is right next door to an obscure region that she's fond of... Bagrundy, I think she called it. They offer both red and white wines!

I am very happy to eat at someone's house. I am happy to help cook, bus, or just provide for the larder.

We picked the dates way back when when people said it was a good weekend.

I could probably do the weekend before or (much less good) after in DC but that’s it for me until Sept.

WD attempt to organize a DC Roilette event is a disorderly failure IMO. Pls send your email addresses to me if you are interested and I don’t have your address or can’t find it—Mark, Bill, Mike, Ian, etc. If you all don’t get an email from me in the next day or two re: this event, ping me.

I am cohenjl at umich.edu.
