I met her briefly with Mark Ellenbogen at the last Vinho Ao Vivo wine fair in Lisbon (2019) where she was gracious and attentive. Tonight we drank a bottle of the 2015 Chevalerie Bourgueil Busardières which was delicate and crystal-clear. In memory of a young life cut short by a brain tumor only diagnosed a week ago. No lesson to be gained from this tragedy other than we should carpe the fuck out of your diems while we can.

Oh no, this is terrible news. Not someone I really know, but a domain I admire. I just had a bottle of 2014 Galichets this week and was thinking we don't drink enough of these and was planning on adding it to the wine list when we reopen.

Yes, the wines, besides being quite good, are hype-free, therefore fairly-priced.

Absolutely. They were a revelation when we tasted them in Lisbon. The real deal.
