2016 C&G Lessona Pizzaguerra: The No Fuss Pleasure

In the context of so many of my finicky wines that require perfect timing and preparation, it's nice to have options that are easy to open at the last minute.

This spring, whenever I got home minutes before dinner on the weekend and wanted something nice with the meal, it was great to have bottles of 2016 Colombera & Garella Lessona Pizzaguerra to open.

Always a delightful drink of dark floral flavors and crisp juicy structure, with just enough depth to roll around the tongue and meld well with so many different foods. Nothing to ponder after dinner, but for the moments of conviviality and enjoyment at the table, it filled a welcome niche for me.

I'm a fan, but I'm a couple vintages behind. Thanks for the input, I'll try a bottle soon.

So how long do you keep this bottling? I suppose it depends on the vintage. I wasn't sure how much more evolution to expect so I decided to keep opening them and enjoying them for the crisp juicy food accompaniment. No regrets, but interesting to hear if there are other gears to come.
