p.s. what kind of a man/woman/child/beast show up with 2002 CRB Gamay?!
More CRB being poured by Brother PCap (though I think this event sold out before the electrons used to send the email went cold).

Damn! I hope that Jay managed to snag a ticket, if only did another shot at CRB Côt. From whence comes this stash? PCap’s personal stock or some other source?

Mark Lipton

I'm on the wait list. Don't hold out much hope though. Who's going to cancel something like this?

Well, I bailed on the CSW CRB dinner but that was only because Arnold's dad had a heart attack. I don't wish that for any of the attendees.

Very nice, thanks for the write-up and photos.

Rollin SF is a sentimental favorite in my house. Wish I had found some bottles of 2010 when they were around.

That was a winebid purchase from lockdown. And one I am very, very happy with.

Gordon's had a single magnum of the 2010 which I just snagged yesterday.

Good eye. Do you mind if I ask what their price was?

The 750 from winebid was $70 plus auction fees.
The magnum was $120.

I salute your perspicacity.

2002 Rollin Sous Frétilles at 10+ years was, for me, a milestone in wine appreciation. I have some 750s now of 2012 and 2014 and, like Coyote, I wait.

Tangentially related, Chateau de Chorey (Germain) used to make a village blanc Pernand Combottes of which I was very fond. Jadot acquired these vines, I understand, along with his other Beaune vineyards, but I never see the Jadot vintages in the market place - nor, for that matter, the Beaune les Cras.

The Jadot Beaune Cras is around and it is from the Germain vines. I haven't bought it but have been curious about it. One can only follow up on so much.

Gordons has it, if you're ordering from there.

I snagged two Jadot bottles on sale at McArthur a couple of years ago and am holding a half-dozen 2005 from Chorey. Should try one soon, I guess.
