David Reynaud - any experience?

I've only seen a Crozes-Hermitage Beaumont recently. From the area of Beaumont-Monteux (argillo-calcaire et galets). 100% destemmed. Vinification and elevage in concrete, fruit-forward, early-drinking.

yes, visited him as he was building out his new winery - 2001 maybe? found him an importer in MA at that time, he was recommended by Mathieu Barret and made what I'd call proper Crozes. Unsure since then though.

I liked a wine that he contributed a third of.

Summarizing JLL: "Beaumont" is bought fruit, the others are domaine; he likes them all a lot but especially the IGP Syrah and the IGP white "Petites Betises" (both "w.o.w." wines).

Thanks.
A friend in Copenhagen recommended his Crozes highly but I have no knowledge or experience. The prices in the states seem reasonable, unlike so many others.
But good N. Rhone Syrah is hard to come by without selling a car so I may try a couple,
Best, jim

it may be that the only thing missing is the stems.
