2019 Pepiere, Clisson - tight; let it rest - it has what you seek, just not yet.

2020 Extradimensional Wine Co., Mourvèdre Evangelho - likewise - let it rest. Has closed up since release.

2019 Vincent, Pinot Noir Ribbon Ridge - I wish I’d bought nothing but magnums because one bottle is never enough. As good a Pinot at the price as there is in the market today. Glorious stuff!

2018 Occhipinti, Frappato - holding on but not what it was; much as I love this wine, it does not age well. Drink on release; at four, it’s not the same.

2012 Cowan Cellars, Isa - 100% skin-fermented Sauvignon Blanc aged 28 months in old barrels; dark copper color, an aroma that reminds me of tawny port but the palate is nothing like port; no aldehyde or RS, very little phenolic load and all sorts of nuance; almost entirely savory. An intellectual and visceral experience. Delicious isn’t the right word; maybe gratifying . . . at least, for me.

2019 Vincent, Pinot Noir Temperance Hill Vnyd. - 12.2% abv but all the flavor, intensity and texture you could ask for, deeply complex albeit tight and with immense promise. As good a wine as I’ve had from the Eola Hills in some time. Bravo!

2019 Extradimensional Wine Co., After Midnight Light Red Wine - open, lightweight, layered and a pleasure with dinner. My last bottle but a dandy.

2019 Louis Michel, Chablis Forets - if all the 2019’s I have from this house taste this good, I will be pleased. I have drunk a case of this already (yes, I know it’s early) and if it gets any better (and it should), my remaining bottles will be cherished.
Classic Premier Cru Chablis.

2017 Cowan Cellars, Ribolla Gialla - deep, pure, lots of cut and a viscosity that never cloys as the acids are crisp. Maybe the best direct press version of this variety I made. Stopping the malo seems to have given it both balance and the ability to age.

Best, Jim

My last (my only) Occhipinti Frappato was the 2010, which I thought aged well, FWIW. Here are my CT notes from 2010 bottles opened in the years shown:

2016 - This was great, better the second night than the first, when it showed a slight edge. The succulent lush tart fruit of a good Burgundy, with the fine, sandy tannins of a good, aged Piedmont Nebbiolo wine. One to consider buying every year.

2015 - Drinking very prettily from the bottle, rather Burgundian in its tart cherry roundness, with a scorpion sting of Sicilian sauvagité in the tail. The second day also very good, though a touch more severe, some drying tannins on the finish. Occhipinti has described her own surprise at the longevity of this varietal, so perhaps these bottles are just now shutting down - hard to judge. In any event, a wonderful wine right now.

2014 - This wine was a bit tough the first night, still dominated by tannin. The second night it was lovely, showing very pretty cherry fruit, rather pinot-like, but buffered and more chiseled. Drink now after decanting a couple of hours, or hold. A very good bottle.

A case of the 2019 Foret alone? Or Michel Chablis from different vineyards? Impressive, either way.

Foret.
Many other bottles of ‘19 Michel await; one of my favorite vintages of late so I went long.
I do love Chablis.

Coincidently, I had a bottle of the 2017 last night and it was fantastic. Reminded me that I need to get some 2019.

I tend to agree, this is something I mostly prefer to drink young. In fact, that's my general approach to Sicilian red.

According to your copious notes, I really need to drink some Vincent.
