The perry was godawful: a pet nat perry, way too tart and vaguely dirty. To the Fat Sink with it!
Saved the Brun fizz for another day, opened Pernot 2005 Beaune "Clos du Dessus des Marconnets" instead. Very pretty and fragrant and a nice contrast to the heavy traditional meal.
Continued with Gontier 2005 Calvados for the trou Normand and then several desserts.
