Amazing. I've always had disproportionate respect for the 88, but this is ridiculous.
 
Pavel, the '88 was easily the one I spent the least time with.

My strategy was to sniff all the wines before tasting them. With the sniff test, the '75 blew me away -- amazing aromatics that stood out even in such esteemed company.

Really?? There are 61 different species of botrytis, and even b. cineria can present as either Grey mold or noble mold. Maybe we should give Pete a pass here.

Oh but why miss an opportunity to pick on Pete? The fact that he doesn’t deserve it is besides the point it seems.
 
Maureen, you would have loved the two Burgundies. Of course, this is an understatement when it comes to most anything by Leflaive. The Groffier Bonnes-Mares '00 was a marvel, everything totally in sync just we would hope for and still with a fruitful life ahead.
