So are folks drinking the Peter Leipold wines?
I took the 2020 Silvaner Schilfsandstein to a dinner last night I organized to introduce some friends to German wine. It was a big hit. Bold and attractive, but also refined. Most people thought it was more expensive than the 2020 Clemens Busch Fahrlay Terrassen GG (they wanted to guess prices, not my idea), which was probably too subtle for many to appreciate in the setting.
But Leipold seems like great gateway German wine, plus all the refinement and nuance for us jaded palates!
