The Lambray was my wine-of-the-evening. Voluptuous bouquet, so smooth and luscious on palate with all the right components, not as robust as its neighbor Clod de Tart but certainly just as qualified to be a grand cru. The blackened skin on the Branzino helped make the pairing successful. Altogether a compelling course.
Not listed but we also had the Leflaive Batard-Montrachet '14. I gave the nod to the Ramonet but only by the slimmest of margins. Both were terrific...as expected.
