Bay Area June 13 or 14?

Rahsaan

Rahsaan
The jeebus board is notoriously slow and it's not like we're overwhelmed with traffic here.

So I thought I would post and see if anyone in the Bay is up for dinner and wine on Tues June 13 or Wed June 14? I'll be in Berkeley (but of course mobile) and at the moment free both evenings.

Rahsaan, I should be available, but there's a chance I could be stuck in a trial east of Sacramento. Won't know until closer to. I have a good place for dinner in Oakland, where they provide decent glasses and usually comp corkage. I can set a reservation there for either day, which would be good even if it ends up I can't attend. Really hope I get the chance to meet you in person.

What do you want to drink?

Great to hear from both of you. Yes, Larry, it's been too long. Time flies!

I hope it works out Jim. Oakland resto sounds fine by me, so many good places to eat, I trust the locals.

Not sure if you guys know others who might be around but not checking this board at the moment.

Oh, what to drink. I think we all have enough overlap that it should be fine. I can appreciate a range of wines, even if I don't get around to purchasing them.

Well, I can pencil in June 13, thanks guys.

I suppose we can be in touch closer to the date for specifics. And see if a few others are around. Like Steve!

will be in attendance for the 9:30pm show. i will be wearing a red rose

Our tickets are for the 7pm set. A good friend's mother is a high-level subscriber. My friend is always able to get the best seats in the price point you want. Typically, I'm in row M right next to the soundboard and I will be for that show.

Thanks for that. I was just in the process of emailing you all through the Disorder system. If it's more efficient to do email, mine is rahsaan3@hotmail.com.

But yes, that works for me. And it sounds like you can join Jim, which would be great.

Dang. I had the Glitterati Maserati gassed up for the drive and the wine selected for the end of the drive, but due to obligations related to Flag Day (I lost a bet at a strip club in Laughlin, NV), juxtaposed by the need to jumpstart my journey to Food & Wine Aspen later that week, I shall have to be unjeebed that week. Carry on with the usual jawing, japing, gesticulating and wine swizzling that I recall having seen delineated on a #JeebLife t-shirt back in the day, and I'll look forward to joining in on the oenodebauchery the next the next time the opportunity circles around (like a thirsty vulture spotting the wreckage of a Western Carriers semi with its cargo of Burgundy, Bordeaux and Barolo strewn along the freeway, bringing new meaning to "red blend")

-Eden (speaking of road trips, have you heard "Ocean of Love" by Panderanga Henderson? He hung out at an Agoura Hills ashram and made trippy music behind Alice Coltrane -- who wasn't exactly playing the Brill Building hits herself-- and did one record that survived that would be waaaaay better than the gongs-and-bells tinnitus detritus that wails from the sound system in every yoga studio I've ever contorted myself in. Inspiring stuff, with a nice, toe-tapping edge to the usual drone one tends to expects to hear emanate from an early-80s commune/hippie/mystic enclave. Worth listening to, whether you "hear" it or not)(and uh, namaste)

Namaste. And to next time.

Anyone able to join Rahsaan, Larry, and me on June 13 in Oakland?

I'm swamped with work for most of June, but I hope I can connect with you all later this summer

I can't commit at present. 2 weeks ago our daughter decided to fly to the Bay Area and visit us from 6-17 June. this is complicated by Marico returning from Japan 10 June. so the schedule is in flux primarily because there is no schedule.I really wish to attend but family plans biden other plans... hopefully can be definite by early next week and can join in

Mark, we'll hold a seat for you. We're mostly drinking 2009 Beaujolais. Controversial, so should be interesting. We'll have Foillard Py and Corcelette, and Coudert Tardive and Griffe du Marquis.
