WTN: 2009 Texier Brezeme VV Domaine de Pergaud

Very promising right out of the bottle — decent tannins, black fruits, less acid than has often been associated with the name Brezeme but still rather adequate. Gave it an hour’s decant before food was served. Didn’t budge a single inch for that hour, or for the rest of its short life.

I’ve got maybe 3 more bottles. I’ll give them quite a bit more time in the cellar before opening another one.

No idea why, but recently WineBid has had '16s and '19s. Both '16 Brezeme and Saint Julien Vieille Serine at reasonable prices ($25-30). '16 and '19 Saint Julien for $15. Couldn't pass those up. I have a couple of friends who make periodic trips to their warehouse so I don't have to deal with shipping cost.
