Pete, how was the Grivot? The Boudots is a favorite of mine, but I seemed to have missed buying the 2009. How did it show against the Dujac?

Maureen, like you, I am a bit fan of Jean Grivot in general and Boudots specifically; plus, I have always really liked the 2009 vintage wines of Burgundy.

The Boudots showed very well as expected; however, it was edged out (by a gnat's eyelash!) by the Dujac Clos de la Roche in my opinion. The Dujac just had a touch more charm and pizzazz. I would say they both have equal promise for long term cellaring

Needless to say, I would always relish opportunities to have either or both of them anytime.

No doubt the dujac is greater. Certainly priced that way.

Ever have the 2002 Boudots? A personal fave, although I love the 2008 too.

Maureen (maureen), Grivot doesn't usually (if ever) make into our marketplaces here so I don't get it much. No surprise the 2002 and 2008 Boudots work well for you -- excellent producer and bottlings in 2 excellent/very good vintages.

You are blessed.

The '88 Dujac Clos de la Roche, drunk ca. 2005, stands in my mind as perhaps the greatest bottle of Pinot Noir that has ever crossed my palate. This is all the more remarkable given my quercophobic nature.
