Summer Dreams Pinot Noir

I was offered the Summer Dreams Pinot Noirs. These Pinots get high ratings and I see they report 14.8% alcohol. These facts are hard to balance.

Has anyone had them?

Pete,
If what I read is accurate, the per bottle price is $75.
Having never had the wine, noting its high alcohol, seeing who is behind the project and in view of the price, I’d guess there are better ways to spend your money.
It sounds to me like it would be the “Napa cab” of Pinot - which is not what I think Pinot does best.
(I intentionally left out mention of reviews/ratings as I find them to be marketing tools and, at best, one person’s opinion.)
But it’s your money; people buy Hundred Acre cabs . . .

Jim, I didn't mean to suggest I was considering buying some: to the contrary, the reports seem contradictory to me. And by ratings, I meant by consumers and pundits alike. Your assessment sounds very much like what I was thinking, especially the comparison to ripe Cabernet Sauvignons.

The prices I saw were ~$70 for the Stargazer and ~$120 for the other Summer Dreams bottlings.
