Huet-a-thon : Interest in West Coast version? April in...

Yes, I was wondering about consecutive jeebi. Of course, it's now way easier for me. Mark L, I'm sorry you can't make it, but at least we'll be able to hang at Belotti.

John asks : “Is anyone good for a bottle of petillant?”

I got a '17 Huet Petillant.

Also still planning to bring these:

'10 Huet Demi-Sec CdB
'08 Huet Moelleux Premiere Trie CdB

BJ : we have enough Huet wines. there is a movement for other things. details later. maybe cheese. Rainbow Coop in San Francisco has a wonderful selection and we might just ask you to pick up specific cheeses.

Bumping this up since it’s only 5 days away.

Arrival time and other details?

I’m assuming we should bring glasses. Unless there’s any objection, I’m still planning to bring an older ESJ red.

Having conferenced with Dr. John Dorfmann moments ago :

Noon

Parking is weird. Would go for street parking but the entrance to the house for pedestrians is best achieved by going down the driveway to the back of the house

Will BJ be able to bring cheese? 8 people. Truly excellent selection at Rainbow Grocery and they are pleased to help with your selection. Parking there can take some time... https://rainbow.coop/

The Dr. requests that I do not share pertinent address info over the net. Yule and Larry have been apprised of the specifics already.

no need to bring glasses (albeit available glassware is of different shapes and sizes) if you don't mind using the same vessel over and over again. Dr. Dorfmann's representative says there are enough glasses for ocho people and enough water for rinses.

yours truly, Mark

That neighborhood is really confusing. It's easy to get lost in there. When my daughter was in Girl Scouts, meetings would be occasionally held in that area. Finding the house after dark, sans GPS (this was early 2000s), was an adventure. As it is, I'm gonna Uber.

I will Uber as well.

Thanks for organizing Mark!

(Also, if BJ is going to be leaving from Berkeley, Cheese Board also has a good selection of cheeses, and I think they can put together cheese plates as well -- but Rainbow is also great too).

Getting psyched to meet everyone (Larry we've met once long ago I believe). We will have cheese - planning on Rainbow to complete the adventure (Yule we love the Cheese Board). Mark, just sent you an email for the details.

Fun! Thank you Mark for all the effort.

Yes, we met, I think in 2016? I came to Seattle to monitor a software upgrade on the medical devices in one of the local hospitals. We jeebus’d at Wild Ginger. I think Lee Short was there, too.
